We’ve been talking about buying an espresso machine for some time, and we finally did it. We are so glad! This espresso machine is automatic and it makes great espresso for my husband. I actually prefer cappuccino and it makes great ones. It even comes with the automatic milk frother.
We’ve owned several espresso machines and one big complaint was always that the milk was never hot enough. Not this time. This machine froths the milk and always has it at just the right temperature. We love it because it has the bean-to-cup feature that makes it easy to make any beverage you want.
We just program it to brew espresso or cappuccino. The bean hopper holds a lot of coffee beans—about 10 ounces—and you can set it to five different brew strengths and 10 different grinding settings. Since we drink different things, we love the programmable feature that allows us to set our customizable drink choices.
The machine remembers it, and the next drink comes out with just one touch to the memory button. It’s great! We absolutely love the one touch brewing and frothing. Other features like volume, coffee strength and temperature an also be programmed and you can use whole beans or ground coffee.
One thing we really love about this unit is that it has a front facing water reservoir, much easier than a back, side or top filling access door, and it holds 54 ounces which is great. This feature plus its compact size makes it easy to put on any countertop. Since it is under 14 inches tall, it fits under most standard cabinets. It is so easy to clean, too, and it has an automatic rinse cycle and a descale cycle. We love it.
We’ve used other machines before and they’ve quit after only a few months. This unit comes with a low-energy standby mode, so after one hour of idle time, it switches to using less than 1 Watt of power consumption. This one is also great because it is very sturdy and comes with a 2 year warranty. We know we’ll be making our delicious coffee drinks for many years to come.
