Coffee Machines

Breville Coffee Machines Review

For many of us, coffee is the nectar of life. It’s what wakes us up in the morning and prepares us to tackle the challenges of each new day. As such, it’s imperative that your first cup be both delicious and effective at enabling you to succeed in your daily activities.

Although there are many different brands and types of coffee makers out there, such as espresso machines for that perfect espresso shot, French presses for traditional coffee, and standard drip brew coffee makers for everything else, one stands out above the rest to make the most of your favorite coffee beans.

Today, I’m going to discuss the benefits of buying a Breville Coffee Maker for your kitchen. Whether you’ve used these machines in the past or you’re looking to save money at the coffee shop, Breville has created some of the finest coffee makers on the market. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at the top three Breville coffee machines.

Recommended Breville Coffee Makers

1. Breville BDC650BSS The Grind Control Drip Coffee Maker

One thing that I really like about Breville Coffee Machines is that they have exquisite attention to detail. Not only that, but you can tell that the people making these devices are coffee connoisseurs. By that, I mean that they enable you to put care and dedication into every cup that you brew, ensuring that you can get the most out of your beans.

Breville BDC650BSS The Grind Control Drip Coffee Maker

In this case, the Grind Control Drip Coffee Maker is built for those who have a little bit of extra time in the morning and want the best cup possible. Although using pre-ground coffee can be more “convenient,” you’re sacrificing the flavor and aromas that come from freshly ground beans. This is part of the reason why coffee shops have better products than what you can produce at home.

Once you’ve tried fresh coffee, you won’t want to go back. What I like most about this unit is how high-tech it feels. You can just press a few buttons and watch as your beans are ground and brewed, right before your eyes. The decadent aroma of freshly ground coffee will only build the anticipation and make every cup that much more enjoyable.

The menu and LCD screen make customizing your preparation process simple. Since each kind of bean (i.e. Arabica, Brazilian) requires specialized procedures, the Grind Control enables you to adjust on the fly to ensure that you get the best results.

Not only that, but you can customize how much coffee comes out at once. Thus, if you’re making a whole pot for you and your family (or just yourself), or you want a single cup to go, this machine has you covered.

Features

  • Powerful 1100-watt coffee maker
  • Adjustable grinder
  • Calibrate grind size and amount
  • LCD screen for easy use
  • Holds up to a ½ pound of coffee
  • Durable stainless steel construction
  • Programmable auto-start
  • Makes pots or single servings
  • Locking mechanism keeps beans contained
  • Works with beans or pre-ground coffee
  • Real-time feedback for better results
  • Removable drip tray for easy cleaning
  • BPA-free materials

Keep In Mind

When picking out the right Breville coffee maker, you want to compare prices across a variety of sellers. Just because you’re paying more overall doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try to save a little where you can (although, remember that you’ll save a ton by buying beans instead of pre-ground or coffee shop coffee). Another thing to consider is that grinding beans takes longer.

Thus, if you find yourself in a rush out the door every morning, you may decide that the whole process isn’t worth it in the end. Although this model does work with pre-ground coffee, I don’t recommend buying it if that’s what you plan on using it for the most. The point of the Grind Control is to provide you with the decadence and flavor of freshly ground coffee. If you’re not going to enjoy it, then don’t buy it.

2. Breville BDC450BSS Precision Brewer Thermal

Although I prefer to have a batch of fresh-ground coffee in the morning, I understand that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Thus, if you like to experiment a little and want to try a variety of coffee types, then this model from Breville is going to be your best bet. The Precision Brewer Thermal is perfect for those who want coffee-shop quality in a short amount of time.

Breville BDC450BSS Precision Brewer Thermal

The first thing that I really liked about this machine is that it’s super fast. In fact, it’s one of the quickest coffee makers on the market. You can brew up to 12 cups of perfect coffee in less time than it would take to boil a pot of water. The other feature that makes this device so valuable and exciting is that it comes with six different brewing options.

They Are:

  • Fast
  • Gold (coffee shop setting)
  • Strong
  • My Brew (personalized settings)
  • Over Ice
  • Cold Brew

Each option is made to perfection and allows you to drink coffee all throughout the day, week, month, or year. During the summer, switch to cold brews and get a refreshing blast in the morning. In the winter, make a stronger batch so that you can power through those icy cold days with aplomb. Overall, you can utilize this coffee maker however you like, which is why I love it so much.

Features

  • Durable stainless steel construction
  • Six preset brewing options
  • Fast operation and easy cleanup
  • LCD menu screen for quick navigation
  • Automatic steep and release technology
  • Makes up to 12 cups at once

Keep In Mind

Overall, the Precision Brewer takes a bit of effort and creativity to make it work for you. Although you can simply use the “gold” or “fast” setting all the time, it won’t provide you with the best cup possible. I highly recommend experimenting with different settings to see how you like them all. Also, be sure to get good at measuring water beforehand. The only feature that I don’t like is that you can’t keep water in the reservoir as extra, which would make this the perfect coffee maker.

3. Breville BREBDC600XL YouBrew Drip Coffee Maker

Our final stop is with the YouBrew Drip Coffee Maker. This is kind of a combination of the two models we looked at already, in that it both grinds your beans and provides you with a wide variety of brewing options.

Breville BREBDC600XL YouBrew Drip Coffee Maker

Overall, this is probably my favorite machine because it enables you to customize your coffee experience as much as you like. That being said, if you’re not looking for something that requires a “hands-on” approach, you probably won’t appreciate this model as much as I do.

Some Key Features That I Enjoy:

  • Self-measuring water reservoir
  • Seven preset brewing options
  • Automatically grinds and brews based on beans
  • Makes as little or as much as you want

In the end, I really appreciate the attention to detail and the reliability that comes with the YouBrew. As a true coffee aficionado, I have to say that I enjoy making a cup every morning with this device. I am more willing to try new blends and bean varieties because this unit makes it so easy to grind and brew them. If you’re like me, then you will fall in love with this coffee maker.

Features

  • Durable stainless steel construction
  • Grinds and brews coffee automatically
  • Works on all types of beans
  • Adjustable coffee volume, from a single cup to a whole carafe
  • Seven preset options
  • Measures water level for you
  • High-tech menu screen
  • Easy-to-clean design
  • BPA-free materials
  • One-year limited warranty

Keep In Mind

Overall, the YouBrew is meant for people who love coffee and want to be able to make the perfect cup every time. If you’re someone who wants convenience and simplicity, you won’t find it with this machine. It takes a little while to master all of the processes, but once you do, you will wonder how you can drink anything else.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this unit is larger and bulkier than most others. So, if you want to be able to store it in your cabinets or cupboards, you will be disappointed. This thing will live on your counter, so you better want it there.

My Verdict

Because the YouBrew Drip Coffee Maker takes the best features from both of the other models, I have to say that it’s my top model on this list. As long as you are a coffee connoisseur like me, you will enjoy every cup brewed with this machine.

Overall, if you like having control over your brew, from grinding the right coffee beans to getting the exact temperature and water level, then you will love the YouBrew. It’s better than going to the coffee shop—and much cheaper in the long run.
